Nursing Assistant - Days on Forget Me Not Dementia Care Suite

This exciting position has become available as one of our present team is off to University to undertake her nursing.

Role: Nursing Assistant - DAYS (06.45 - 19.00) - (Rota covers Monday to Sunday includes alternate weekends and bank holidays)

Contracted Hours: 33 per week (Additional shifts may be available)

Are you caring, self-motivated and organised, able to work as part of a team as well as leading that team, are you sensitive to the needs of Residents living with Dementia, and are you a good communicator? Do you have a minimum of 2 years care experience preferably in a senior role.

The role of the Nursing Assistant is to work with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of our service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence and to supervise the junior staff in meeting that function.

For this role you will need to have your NVQ 3 or have the NVQ 2 and be willing to work towards NVQ Level 3.

Key Responsibilities:-

The provision of a high standard of care to residents, based on their assessment of needs.
To continuously evaluate the quality of care given and to regularly reassess the needs of the residents, to effect change required to achieve planned goals.
To administer, check and manage medication.
To ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to care delivery are maintained and effectively used.
To lead the shift.
To liaise with GPs, District Nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team.
To ensure effective and efficient use of the Care Home resources.
To ensure religious, cultural, emotional, and psychological support for residents and their families.
To attend and to participate in relevant staff meetings.
To carry out regular checks on the residents at intervals with due regard for privacy and dignity.

Night Nursing Assistant
